SUMMARY:

This is a short hike following the original Snoqualmie Pass Wagon Road. Old wagon ruts and remnants can still be seen at several points along the trail. After one mile, the trail meets with the Franklin Falls Trail #1036. Here, one can continue to the right and come upon the falls in only 0.25 mile. Turn left onto the Franklin Falls Trail, which follows along the south fork of the Snoqualmie River, and make an exceptional 2.0 mile loop through mostly old growth forest. Both trailheads begin and end near each other.


TRAILHEAD ACCESS:Take exit #47 from I-90. Head north and turn right at the "T" in the road. Turn left in 0.25 mile onto Denny Creek Road #58. Follow Road #58 for 2.5 miles, just past the Denny Creek Campground and turn left onto the paved road. Park before crossing the bridge over the south fork of the Snoqualmie River, the trail is across Denny Creek Road #58.
