Scottish Lakes is an area of trails and lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. Beautiful area to visit and hike. It is popular in the winter for snowshoe and cross country skiing. There is a private High Camp for those who would like to experience the area.

In the Summer you can backpack in from Chiwaukum Creek Trail to Lake Julius(29 mile round trip)
20 miles of ski trails come out of High Camp. All well marked. Check a good trail guide of the area for more Alpine Lakes trails to visit.

You can check out the High Camp at scottish lakes websiteThey have cabins to rent, snowmobiles, skis and snowshoes, They even will take you the eight miles to camp on a snowcat.

The Scottish Lakes are reached from Highway 2. Across the highway from Nason Creek Rest area. 17 miles east of Stevens Pass. High Camp will meet you there and transport you up the private(gated)road 8 miles to the camp.
