Monument Coulee Trails

This Hike is in the Dry Falls area of eastern Washington. The Falls were created by the last ice age when an immense flood came all the way from Lake Missoula. It is quite a site to see. Easy hiking, you can see everything. Mostly sagebrush country. There are lots of paths to follow. Hike around Umatilla Rock and check out the lakes in the area. Driving Directions;From Dry Falls Interpretive Center(state route 17, 3 miles south of Coulee City) Continue south one mile to Sun Lakes State Park. Take the Deep Lake-Dry Falls Lake Road about a mile from entrance to park. Park at Camp Delany Gate. Walk half mile and turn right at junction for Camp Delany. Go through gate, 150 feet and take dirt trail on left to Monument Coulee and Umatilla Rock. About 5 miles around Umatilla rock roundtrip. Use Usgs map - Coulee City
