Cross over a rustic bridge that spans Copper Creek. Discover the misty veil of Copper Creek cascading down a 40-foot basalt cliff. Descend to the Lewis River and discover the churning chute of Middle Falls. Trail Facts:This maintained trail is relatively level until passing Copper Creek Falls. Beyond there the descent steepens to the Middle Falls of the Lewis River. A loop opportunity is available by crossing Copper Creek on the lower bridge and then taking the trail junction to the right. Considerations:Rocks along the water's edge can be extremely slippery. Connections: Middle Falls Trail #31C connects with Lewis River Trail #31. Trailhead: Middle Falls:Trailhead is along Lewis River FR 90 where a short trail leads down to Middle Falls on the North Fork of the Lewis. Map:Spencer Butte and Quartz Creek Butte quadrangle.
