SUMMARY:

The Marten Lake Trail is an unmaintained fisherman's access trail. The trail climbs steeply through old growth forest until it levels out and offers views of surrounding mountains. The route is extremely brushy and very steep. Because of the heavy brush, this trail can be difficult to find and is not recommended for the inexperienced hiker.


TRAILHEAD ACCESS:I-90 to exit #34. Turn north toward 468th Avenue. In 0.6 mile turn right onto SE Middle Fork Road #56. Drive for 12.0 miles to the junction after the bridge crossing. Continue on the left fork to Road #5640 and in another 0.4 mile park at the gate.

Hike Snoqualmie Lake Trail #1002 for 3.0 miles to the junction and take the left fork to the Marten Lake Trailhead (about 150 feet before the Marten Creek bridge crossing).

Northwest Forest Pass required to park: Yes
