SUMMARY:The trail begins at Deception Pass, which is accessed via the Deception Creek Trail #1059, the Pacific Crest Trail #2000, or the Cle Elum River Trail #1376.

Clarice Trail heads north then northwest of Blue Ridge ascending and descending 3.4 miles to the junction with the Marmot Lake Trail #1066.1. Marmot Lake is 0.7 mile west from the junction and spans 135 acres at 4,900 feet elevation. Continue north on trail #1066 another 0.6 mile to Lake Clarice, a 40-acre lake situated at an elevation of 4,500 feet.


TRAILHEAD ACCESS:Drive State Route 2 going 7.8 miles east of the Skykomish to Deception Creek Road #6088. Turn south off the highway and drive 1.0 mile to the Deception Creek trailhead. Hike 10.0 miles south on the Deception Creek Trail #1059 to Deception Pass. Trail #1066 to Marmot Lake and Lake Clarice begins at this junction heading northwest.
