SUMMARY:This short trail traverses semi-open forest to Evans Lake, 11 acres in area. Limited campsites can be found on the west side of the lake. Trail #1069 is a great hike for families with small children as well as the elderly. This trail is in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area.


TRAILHEAD ACCESS:Drive State Route 2 for 1.7 miles east of the Skykomish. Turn south onto the Foss River Road #68. Continue on Road #68, staying to the right at the junction with Road #6835. Drive about 4.0 miles beyond that junction. Turn left onto Road #6846, continue 2.0 miles to the trailhead on right side of the road.
