Eastern Washington Hikes

Eastern Washington hikes are in an area that is much different then the West side of the state. It gets a lot less rain and is a lot hotter in the summer. Temps in the 90-100 degrees are common in summer and it is also colder in the winter.

Being warm and dry, the summers are great hiking if you make sure and bring enough water and a hat. Start early in the morning.

The crowds are lighter then Western Washington trails but you will have to drive farther. Most Eastern Washington trailheads are a two to three hours drive from Seattle. As long as you get an early start, you are usually fine. It may be better to get a hotel room so you don't have to make the drive back in one day.

Excellent hiking in eastern washington. Sunshine can do wonders for you.
