SUMMARY:

This popular 5-acre lake is in a setting surrounded by trees and vegetation. For overnight hikers, arrive early there are a limited number of campsites along the lakeshore. Fishing has been reported as fair.


TRAILHEAD ACCESS:From the Verlot Public Service Center (11 miles east of Granite Falls), travel west on the Mountain Loop Highway 3.9 miles to Forest Service Road #41. Turn right (north) and continue on the road for 2.0 miles to the junction with the Green Mountain Road #4110. Turn right (east) onto this road and continue on for 1.3 miles to the junction with Forest Service oad #4111. Follow Forest Service Road #4111 for 7.8 miles. From here hikers must walk 2.0 miles on the old road to the trailhead on the left.
